Jon Hager, Owner/Vice President I Asset Solutions Group, Inc

Jon Hager is the co-owner of Asset Solutions Group, Inc. (ASG), and brings a wealth of knowledge from the health insurance industry with a focus on association health plans and MEWAs. Jon is ASG's point person for compliance and contracting. Jon specializes in Association Health Plans and Multi Employee Welfare Arrangements, ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, health insurance, health insurance exchanges, system implementations, contracting, leadership, communication, and consensus-building.

Prior to ASG, Jon worked at Hometown Health, a regional health insurer, where he was responsible for product development, the creation of association health plan products, vendor and project implementation, process improvement and performance monitoring. From 2012 to 2014, Jon served as the first Executive Director of the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange. From 2006 to 2012, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Nevada's Public Employees' Benefits Program and was responsible for the Program's $476 million annual budget which served 72,000 state and local government employees, retirees, and dependents. Jon served as a combat pilot and instructor pilot in the U.S. Navy for nine years. He earned his MBA from Texas A&M and a BS in Physics from the United States Naval Academy, with a certificate in Aviation Safety from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA. He is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program provided by America’s Health Insurance Plans and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Jon is the President of the Carson City Schools Foundation and the assistant coach for the Carson High School two-time state champion cross country team. Jon has been the vice-chair of the State Exchange Leadership Group (2012-2014), Vegas Seven 2014 Intriguing People, member of the Nevada Insurance Commissioner’s Life and Health Advisory Committee, a member of the Nevada Insurance Commissioner’s Network Adequacy Advisory Council, Commissioner of Carson City Region 140 American Youth Soccer Organization and Director of the Comstock Shootout Soccer Tournament.

When Jon isn’t working, he loves to spend time with his wife and two kids. He enjoys playing Rocket League, traveling, running, coaching, hiking, camping, and Lake Tahoe.
